Lanvin for H&M...

So, it the news broke yesterday. The oft-whispered rumour that Lanvin would be next on the list for a high-street collab has been confirmed by Alber Elbaz himself, for both menswear and womenswear. Hmm.

The fashion community are approaching this news with a couple of different thoughts, it seems.

1. OMG, OMG, OMG!
2. But H&M quality sucks...
3. Didn't Alber Ebaz say he would never do a 'mass market collection'?

In his press release, Elbaz explained: "H&M approached us to collaborate, and see if we could translate the dream we created at Lanvin for a wider audience, not just a dress for less. I have said in the past that I would never do a mass market collection, but what intrigued me was the idea of H&M going luxury rather than Lanvin going public".

Very interesting. Do you think Lanvin have sold out, or are you a supporter of the 'fashion for less' movement? I think I'm somewhere in the middle.
