Trends To Obsess Over...

It may be a nice 30 degrees or so pretty much everyday here in NYC, but the air-conditioning is wreaking havoc with my brain and I'm coveting a new AW10 wardrobe already... trickling down from the catwalks to the high streets right about... now.

Sheepskin
Burberry Prorsum, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Acne and personal favourite Topshop Unique all showed gorgeous shearling designs, mostly coats and jackets in various, luxe-looking forms. Practical and fashionable, it my not be worth wearing yet but it's creeping into the high streets right now. Personally after the Whistles aviator jacket - just perfect.

The Woman
More succinctly; the Celine woman. Luxurious, bourgeois, Parisienne and wearable; Pheobe Philo has transformed daywear single-handedly. Soft oversized blouses (see below), leather skirts, shift-shaped peacoats. Beautiful. This is the collection above all that is guiding the high-street; indeed, a trip to NY's Topshop store yesterday evening proved it with camel and navy just everywhere. Can't wait to invest.

The Blouse
Many a mag is declaring 'the blouse is back'... well, sure is for me in a big way - I have bought no less than four in the past few months. Personal faves on the high street are Topshop and H&M, although desperate for both the camel and nude oversized designs at Whistles (do you sense a pattern here?). The blouse is basically an extension of the woman, and should be tucked into high-waisted skirts and trousers. But I'll probably try and edge mine up with skinny jeans too; failsafe.

... I may just go shopping for some new AW pieces (and sit in the air-conditioning until October)

  1. Pics are nice.blue color is a cool color so always looks nice to ware.Long curving skirts should be especially fitted through the hips, so your shape doesn’t get lost in all that fabric.
